Namira from South Lake Tahoe is back at Lotus D'Or by popular demand! This time around she will generously share her choregraphy to "Ya Bahaia" as performed on the "By Dancers For Dancers, Vol. 3" DVD. Students will be given a oppurtunity to learn Namira's techniques that make her dance style polished, dynamic, and exciting for audiences to watch.
This is a great opportunity for dance students of all levels to be able to learn this art from a well-respected instructor at an affordable price. Space is limited so don't miss out--register soon!
Namira began her dancing career at age five when her Mother enrolled her in her first ballet class. She then continued her studies of classical ballet through out her life as well as Pointe, character ballet, pas de deux, jazz, Lyrical, Hip-hop, African, tap, Hawaiian, Tahitian, Latin styles, Flamenco, aerials, and gymnastics. Her first professional dance performance was at age twelve in a Polynesian revue. Namira dances and choreographs professionally for film, television, commercials, Broadway musicals, Las Vegas revues, conventions, restaurants, competitions, and private functions. Namira is featured on the "Tito's Show 2008" DVD, and on the soon to be released "By dancers for dancers Vol 3 or 4" DVD. In Feb. 2007,
Namira traveled to Egypt to attend the 3rd Cairo Seminar "Dance of Egypt" with the legends Mahmoud Reda and Farida Fahmy. Namira was one of 13 professional dancers and teachers selected to attend the program and receive international recognition and a teaching certificate in Egyptian dance.

Belly Dance 2 Brazil Fest '08!  The party starts at 6:30pm at local Summer hang-out, Marco's Cafe located at 7221 HWY 49 in Lotus. Belly dancers from El Dorado County, Sacramento and beyond will entertain tourists and locals at our semi-annual dance party. This time around Samba dancers, drummers and Capoeira demonstrations add to the exotic flavor. Audience participation greatly encouraged...bring your dancing shoes and be prepared to share in the joy of dancing during performance breaks. From Brazilian Forro to the latest in Arabic club grooves, a fun night will be had by all! Best of all...it's all free! Oh,and Marco's Cafe has the best food, beer, and wine around...
Our dance party on June 28th will be the culmination of an entire day of workshops in Brazilian dance and drumming at Lotus D'Or Studios:
- Brazilian Ensemble drumming
- Carnaval Samba
- Capoeira
- Afro-Brazilian Dance
